Re: KK linecheck
blahhh probably not bad. I frequently don't cbet this flop, I think you get more value out of your hand by checking.

Re: KK linecheck
Fancy Play Syndrome. This is 25NL.
Just raise preflop. Villain's flop call is the 800 pound gorilla in the room. The push into the flop call is even worse. |

Re: KK linecheck
Fancy play syndrome refers to taking weird lines to get "tricky," like limp re-raising with kings in early position. Yeah, it has some deception value, but pretty much anyone knows it probably means "big pair" anyway. You'll gain much more value from your early position kings by raising 4x preflop with KK every time... and raising 4x with all your OTHER raising hands also.
What I meant by the flop call is that screams monstrous strength. It should tip you off that he's almost always got a queen here... and pushing right into it on the next street is probably a bad idea. |

What I meant by the flop call is that screams monstrous strength. It should tip you off that he's almost always got a queen here... and pushing right into it on the next street is probably a bad idea. [/ QUOTE ] I think the flop call screams "I have a middle pair, or a diamond draw." OP's play, OTOH, screams "I committed to this hand preflop and I'm sure as hell not folding now." In my experience, people who limp-reraise with hands that miss will be pretty happy to shove the flop anyway, so I don't understand why villain wouldn't be betting with a queen or 55. Anyway, I think the postflop line is fine, but I also bet smaller or check the flop sometimes. You're not really afraid of anything. |

[i]UTG+2 showed 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (a full house, Fives full of Queens) and WON $48.20 [i]
You are right about me being way behind here. But I feel many villains at this level are willing to stack off 88-JJ at this spot. Knock on wood. |
