I agree with all you wrote except Melo. He hasn't been all that great. He's playing better this year, though. Let's see if that 3 point range is real.

Even with Melo's improvement, Dwight's better.

[/ QUOTE ]
is this even a discussion? Dwight is one of the best 10 guys in the league, hands down. If he was decent at FTs he'd be top 3. Melo is maybe top 25.

Maybe we just disagree on how good Dwight Howard is going to be.

[/ QUOTE ]

I never heard of him because he plays in Orlando.
Wow, Howard has monster career numbers. He's only 21.
Played about 260 games. Shoots over 55% from the field.
Averaged nearly 12 rebounds a game. Durant will never
match those numbers.

of course not, he doesn't play in the post. saying he'll never average 12+ boards doesn't mean much.

Is it elitist to suggest that someone who has never heard of Dwight Howard should not be allowed to post in NBA threads?

imo howard is in the class of player that is very good, but not good enough to carry a team to a ring-- something similar to that gold superstar article or w/e.

[/ QUOTE ]

If Dwight Howard isn't a future gold level superstar then I don't know who is.

To be honest, when he was taken in the first round of our draft I didn't know who he was either...had to look him up. Obviously hes very good though.
