Default Downswings and running hot!

Hi, i was unsure about making this post as it isnt of the quality that is required of this forum with questions on good hands and etc. However ive been searching for answers to my question and havent been able to find anything anywhere basically i just wanted some idea of how long can one expect to suffer from a downswing without thinking that they must change their game. This is a sort of results orientated post because i recently went on a heater at some $11dollar sng's nearly quadrupling my bankroll in around 50sng's i then proceeded to lose all this over the next 100 or so finding it impossible to maintain my average roi of around 15% over around 1000 sngs. I do believe in the end luck evens out and it skill will be the determining factor however it would be nice to know from the more skilled players who play more often what sort of length of swings can be expected?

I know of one highly respected player who had a downswing of over 100 buyins at STTs. And that was despite dropping down in stakes as his bankroll shrunk. He quit poker for a while but now I heard he's back.

Longer and more brutal than you can possibly imagine, so intense and demoralizing that you will begin to question everything that is known about probability.

Actually, I was wrong. This player was highly respected by knowledgeable and successful players. Big difference, of course. Sorry about that.
