Don't Stop Believing - Journey

- dump (and I actually like Journey)

Talk Dirty To Me - Poison
Lick it Up - KISS
I Ran - A Flock of Seagulls

- dump

Big Bottom - Spinal Tap

heh, cool

Delia's Gone - Johnny Cash

cool, but you could add more or better Cash

Straight To Hell - Drivin & Cryin

cool

Ballroom Blitz - Sweet

heh, cool, I wonder how it would go over (Love is Like Oxygen?)

How about Southern Culture on the Skids? If you're doing Cash and Willie Nelson you could throw in some Social Distortion or Mike Ness. Ness's version of Hank Robbins Big Iron is pretty cool.

Everyone else is saying "cool", so all I can say is you better play it tongue-in-cheek, or else funk it up a bit because it doesn't really fit with your other stuff.

All,

I know it's a long list, but it's not meant to be played in one night, or one continous set. We just want a deep list of options in case we end up doing a four hour party or something - with multiple breaks.

Here's the adjustments I'm think of making:

Down By The River is pretty much out.
Fortunate Son is likely in.
Thin Lizzy may find it's way in - either Cowboy Song, Rosalie, or The Boys Are Back in Town
Some one suggested old school AC/DC. I like it, but I've heard too many bar bands sound silly trying to cover You Shook Me All Night Long. We'd definately have to go deeper - probably Whole Lotta Rosie or Love Hungry Man. Those tend to work better at not sounding like a cheap imitation.

Keep the suggestions coming. I'm especially found of taking songs that weren't rock songs and making them into rock songs - ala our cover of I Ran. We're also considering doing this with Burning Down The House (Talking Heads).

How many people are you in your band, and please list all instruments.

List looks pretty solid.
