in these kind of flops, control pot size with AA and just call down.

How would you all play AKd/AQd/AJd/KKd ?

[/ QUOTE ]

Re-raise PF with AK, 3-bet stronger AQd or AJd, re-raise PF KKd.

I think it's a set too.

idk, 120 hands isn't enough hands for me to put enough merit in these stats for me to fold AA here. Its possible he could b/3b flush draws here. I'd call here and re-eval turn, and then if it goes to showdown, I'd make a note of what he showed up with and adjust accordingly.

Just calling the initial bet is OK too. Its OK to take pot control lines sometimes.

this can be a bunch of hands, putting opponents on 1 specific hand and refusing to think about his entire range is pointless

this is just simply wrong. if you give him credit for being a solid logical player then yes he should be but nitfish at this level LOVE to flatcall with JJ type hands

but i doubt hes 3betting him on this flop with JJ down with his aggression factor

edit: and hes not THAT big of a nit, he raises 10% preflop. he's still 3betting QQ+ to a button raiser all day. MAYBE he smoothcalls with JJ, but still ...

This looks like a fold to me here. Most players would 3 bet QQ+. It's possible he has a draw or overpair, but most players would only do this with a combo draw and they would bet stronger if they did have a draw. Looks to me like he is trying to suck us in.

I could see a case for calling and seeing a turn, but I really don't think we are good that often here.

95% yes.

haha barring reads you can narrow his range down to 95% sets here? if there's no FD this becomes closer to a fold but I seriously dont see how you guys think this is such an easy fold here.

[/ QUOTE ]

I don't think it's an easy fold, but it is a smart one.

Look at the size of his 3bet. He wants us to call. I really think something like the nut FD or combo draw would 3bet bigger for FE. Jacks or Queens have got to be afraid of the draws or an overcard on the Turn (or an overpair after we raise).

This is one of the few spots where I'm more likely to call a shove than a small 3bet. I really think his shoving range is one we can call more comfortably than his min-3betting range.

BTW: I know this is exploitable, but it doesn't come up enough for that to happen. How often am I actually holding AA when I raise this flop? Usually I've got air or a medium pair.
