god you must be mad dumb if you don't understand. cliffnotes = after player A wins a match and on table 2 he has a nice chip lead and table 3 he doesn't, then he would play table 2 faster trying to end the game and table 3 he would just run the timer down. There's not much to get. Pretty simple and it's obvious you have a HUGE advantage if you win one match unless you're losing in both your other tables.

wow, you are confused. If player A wins 1 match, player B still has to win BOTH THE OTHER MATCHES. It doesn't matter how fast/slow they go, player B still has win both of them so doing anything but playing his best is pointless.

I'm a SSNL newb, but I just thought that I'd throw this out there as a possible format

What if you did a round robin type thing, Where in the first round every player played like 6 matches, and each match was against a different opponent, and then the best 8 records would move onto elimination play. You'd obvsously have to figure out tiebreakers, (maybe based on fastest match, or have extra matches for the ties.) but doing it this way would allow you to have seedings going into the final 8. It would also be cool for the rest of us to watch go down.

anyway, just a thought

blabla cheowmeow yes i agree that issue exists, but it seems a)unlikely to occur and b)of minimal advantage and c)does not favor anyone from the outset so it is not unfair to start with. so who cares.
