Default What poker site should I try?

At the moment I am only playing cards about 2-3 times a week. It's a 1/2 200 max buy in to open then you can buy in for the average chip stack after. I'm averaging approx $1500 a month there over the past year and a half, playing anywhere from 2-12 hours a session. The rake is very minimal, 1-3 dollars, making up a lot of the my profit.

I also almost always lose any time I play less than 6 handed, and the closer I go from 10 to 6 the more my profit goes downhill as well.

So based off of this: can I be a winning online player? What is the best online site for me to play at based off of rake and wanking to play full tables as much as possible? Thanks ahead of time.

I hope you meant to say "wanting to play at full tables"? You'll probably get lots of recommendations for Full Tilt or PokerStars...I 've played both and like pokerstars a lot better. The software is better and it drives me less nuts for some reason. You CAN get rakeback on FTP, but only if you don't already have an account (which sucks, IMO)

Freudian imo.

Hmmm thanks for the info. So if I sign up for FTP I'll get rakeback but older customers wouldn't? Does it run out eventually?

As far as I know, nope. You can get the bonus match (which is kinda like RB) up until they match your initial deposit $600 max. To get Rakeback permanently, you have to signup through an affiliate. Even if you have an account that you used for play money, FTP will not let you re-sign up. :/

FTP is better for rakeback if you don't play much.

Try out 1/2 nl and I will steal your blinds...it will be good times.

I imagine I will try out full tilt seeing as how datamining isn't allow on pokerstars. Won't be playing 1/2 until I'm used to the game though.

Hmmm any specific reasons why? other than the software.

I read someone that you can't use any dataminers on party, is that true?
