I peek ESPECIALLY if I flopped the flush, obviously a reverse tell, but not always

and bet speed varies on person, theres a woman at the Wynn I play with all the time that when she has a monster always bets super [censored] fast and looks around when she does it so flippin obvious

A tell that I think I discovered, based on my own behavior, and catching others doing it as well.

When someone moves all in in NL hold em, and they leave their hands on top of there cards, as if they are ready to flip them over, is a very reliable tell that someone is bluffing.

I use to do this myself and friends of mine knew about it until I discovered by myself that I was doing it. Other people do this same thing, so it's something to watch.

I've actually seen Pro's on TV do it as well. An all-in pusher who leaves his hands on his cards while waiting for a call or fold... big sign of a bluff.

I love the guy who has had no problem with knowing the betting structure of the game for an hour and suddenly starts asking: "How much can I bet?"

Two classic one's I have picked up:

The "gulp" - One of my bro in laws buddies was counting his chips (as I called his all-in) and I saw his adams apple take a dive.

The "pulse" - The classic jugular pulse. Stone cold bluff.

Shaking hands is another good one, almost always the nuts.

But I got screwed with this one night playing the final table of a tourney with a kid who I got into a couple of huge pots with. I made two very big laydowns because the kids hands were shaking like a vibrator and I thought he had peeled the nuts on me twice.

I saw him the next day and he was still shaking...turns out he has a neurological condition....and admitted he was bluffing both pots.

Call me crazy, but I like players to give me info *before* I take my action.

People tend to fiddle with their chips a lot and if you pay attention, you can sometimes pick up a tell or two.

Example 1: Player directly to my left was constantly riffling his chips, then when the action started on the round (even if he was on the button), he'd stop riffling and grab the number of chips he intended to bet. If he was going to fold, he'd keep riffling until it was his turn, then muck his hand. Very handy piece of info, that.

Example 2: Dude a couple of players to my left would use chips as card protectors; he'd drop a chip or two from his stack on his hole cards. No biggie, everyone does it. But as the hand would progress, his stack of card protectors would reflect how his hand was shaping up. The better his hand, the higher the stack. And if he missed his draw, he'd pull a few chips off the cards.

My favorite live tell was when a lag let out an audible gasp as he flopped a straight. He had been raising pre-flop with any two cards, but it was clear he hit this time, so I was able to lay down top pair top kicker. His buddys stayed in for some reason, and he showed his flopped straight at showdown.
