Default Probably a bad cold-call... but I turn trips.

Villain is very aggressive preflop. I usually fold here preflop, sometimes I raise, sometimes I cold-call to mix it up. Probably 90% fold, 5% raise, 5% cc. His line looks maybe like A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Kx. Or even AxKx. Thoughts?

I really want to like you but when I read stuff like this

"A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ... I usually fold PF v an aggressive villain (he is opening in MP and we are in the CO)"

it makes it really hard to look at you as anything other than a poker player who doesn't quite get it. Sorry. This is a pretty standard rr or call, depending on your style, and I think folding is atrocious. You post flop play is fine, however.

I probably overstated his aggressiveness a little bit. I would guess he's like 23/19 or 25/20.

I'm pretty sure that folding AJ preflop is never "atrocious."

I'm not trying to say anything about your poker playing, but we have a very solid hand here versus someone who is opening complete trash in that position. If you can't play simple simple preflop spots like these you really shouldn't be playing this high/at all. Seriously, I'm not trying to be a dick but it's amazing how so many players don't win money and wonder why that is....

You do realize that 25-20 is fairly LAG, meaning that his raising-range will always be quite wide, especially in an unraised pot. I would assume that even 67o is in his range here so you have to understand that you need to at least be calling here with a hand that crushes his range, and you being in position is not something negative either. I sometimes fold AJs, even in position if my opponent has like <9 VPIP and open raises from UTG.

Post flop is standard however.

What do you think a 23/19 opens from MP? Any suited A? Any two suited broadways? Any pair? Suited connectors down to... 67s? Some suited one gappers? I think that's a fairly conservative guess, and you are well ahead of that range. Folding in position makes me sad

I play the hand the same way.

Actually I call, since he could be valuetowning worse. This is like never a bluff though with this line.
