Damn, the refs tried their best to keep the Ducks from winning tonight. They called two BS calls on Rob Niedermayer and a ton of other weak ones. It's like they are trying to give the Wings the record for most 5 on 3 powerplays in a series.

Yeah what's up with Vanek's lack of ice time in Game 4; I guess Lindy thought he dogged it in G3?

I don't mind the afternoon game. I hate staying in Sat. night & not living in WNY or Canada it's hard to find a sports bar that gives a [censored] about hockey.

Remember Vanek was benched for most of last years run, and not just benched but healthy scratched....he is very very lazy on defense....Ive gone to tons of games and rarely missed one on TV and will pick out players at different times to check there real effort etc and if you watch him closely he does almost nothing on defense....

...he basically floats at the blue line on defense waiting to break out, rarely if ever digging the corners...which at most times is him just swooping into a scrum to try and just knock the puck away, but not using his size or physical presence to get into the mix....

...its even worse on the power play when he sits on there blue line and waits and wait again without helpin with the defensive zone breakout...

..he is a severe defensive liability especially now that we are in a dogfight this series....

...on another point I love the line changes they made for G5 especially the Drury/Connolly/Roy line and am curious as to whay Lindy will do with Zubris expected to be out...we should see some Stafford action which will give a little youthful jump, and hopefully after giving Khalinin a whopping 6 minutes of ice time they will sit his ass and give Paetsch a chance....

...Id like to see the "center line" stay as is

have Hecht move up to center Afinogenov and Vanek

put Stafford on the wing with Briere and Pominville

and leave Mair, Kotalik, Gaustad as is...

...rumor is Kotalik onto Max, Vanek line which would put 3 defensive weak offense first europeans on a line which I guarantee would burn us if they ever got matched up with the Spezza line..
