I like the 1st play since you had less than 10 BB, nice push.
As for the 2nd hand........
don't you just hate AJ? Tough hand to get away from when you flop 2pair, however if the player was fairly tight, you would have to assume you were beat. What did you put he/she on???

Hand 1: fold, UTG+1 is getting a little under 1:2 so your FE is not so big and chances are big you are behind when called (would expect to see a small or middlepocketpair most of the time).

Hand 2: is very difficult (results may flaw the opinions a bit). You are both pretty deep so I would expect him to reraise AK, KK, AA at his point also to prevent otherones from joining. Most likely he has a pocketpair or AQs, maybe a sc like JTs or 98s. On the flop you have to protect a little against flushdraws but not so much that you loose to much when behind or that he lays down a middlepair. I like about 600. Now the pot is 1760 and he raises 2880. Would he take so much risk with a flushdraw if he knows you could be on an ace and he has so big a stack there is no need for the risky job he would be doing with that.... I mean if you had no ace in your hand raising another 1800 would have done the job or just float and take it on the turn.. With AQ I can't see him raising in this spot, because he is either WB (AK, AJ, JJ) or WA. And if he is WA he is loosing value. Even with AK I would expect him to call in this spot. So I would say you are facing a set (AAA (unlikely), 444, JJJ) here about 65% of the time, 25% of the time a SC (no flush redraws for you except for 4 outs) and about 10% of the time he is playing AQ or AK, very weird... So I lean to folding but as said my analysis could be flawed by the results, I like to hear from others what they think...

Thanks for your replies. Hand 2 was really difficult. I usually don't have a problem folding big hands, but top two pair is tough at these limits. Since many donks act like this with AK etc.

Hand 1 is a fold, IMO, you have plenty of players behind you and the limp is almost always gonna call you. You'll see 77, 66, 88, A10, all sorts of crap at this level; you have no FE and really need first in vigorish here. I'd push with any two before pushing here with the limper.

Second hand is ultra standard, you need to stop being results orientated. You should be overjoyed to have top 2 here as you will get so much value from A10, AQ, flush draws, JK, A4s, and so forth. Some of those hands you may not get AI, but you can definitely go to value town against them. And, yes, I hate AJ more than any other hand in poker, almost, but you're 8 handed, one fold already...at most tables, I'm raising here.

I don't like pushing all in when someone limped ahead of me. If I did, I'd prefer something better than A6s.

yeah, pushing a-rag in that spot is terrible. I'd rather push scs into a limper.

2nd one fine,

I think in that position it would be very hard not to go bust, he could easily have AK, AQ, so there are plenty of hands you are beating, you also do have 1 or two outs.

AA and JJ would probably have re-raised PF, also they are fairly unlikely because you have one of each of those cards.

1st one I don't like,

I think when you are in small stack all-in mode the cards you have are much less important than the chance people are going to fold.

With Ace Rag I'd fold unless I was the first one in, if you are called you are either going to be well beaten - pair or higher Ace - or not much more than 50 50, like you were here.

Only come over the top of someone if you either
a) have a good reason to think you arent going to get called, ie. similar stack to you, on the button etc
or b) want to be called.

Neither of these two are true here.

Thanks for your comments. I haven't had a clear read on the limper in the first hand, however saw him limp some hands and fold to reraises. Overall the table was tight anyway. Everybody folded except for the limper, he showed J9 offsuit. Well.....
