Best SNL skit of all time
Sorry if it's been done before; I don't come around OOT very often.
I've had an almost heroin-like addiction to the show since 1996 and I think it's hands-down the greatest show of all time. Well, now that I've disclosed my bias, I'll start it off. Just off the top of my head (and I'm sure other responses will jog my memory), the SportsCenter skit with Ray Romano and Tim Meadows literally made me fall off of my couch into a fetal position on the floor, clenching the carpet from laughing so hard. For those of you who haven't seen it, Ray Romano is a new co-anchor with Stuart Scott, and he just keeps speaking in nonsensical metaphors during the sports highlights, confusing Scott. [ QUOTE ] Latest talk is that David Robinson is over the hill. But in my book, you gotta get to White Castle before the weirdos show up. Tonight at the Alamodome, he gets Happy-Go-Jackie on the big white guy like a donkey eating a waffle! Sweet Sassy Molassey! Get out the checkbook and pay grandma for the rubdown as the Spurs beat the Heat, 86-79! Stuart! [/ QUOTE ] |

Re: Best SNL skit of all time
The Col. Angus skit deserves mention, but my favorite was from back in the early 90's when Heather Locklear was hosting. Lockler's character went on an infomercial with Mike Meyers to sell a pasta maker and proceeds to offend the Jews, Japanese, Indians, and Spanish with her completely insensitive remarks.
The entire transcript, along with many other SNL skits, can be found at http://snltranscripts.jt.org/93/93tsavers.phtml |

Re: Best SNL skit of all time
My favorite all time is the columbian coffee crystals hidden camera commercial with Farley. Close second is Will Ferrell's crazy boss.
Also up there: Happy fun ball Bag O' Glass Chippendales "No, Barney......No." Japanese Game show with Farley Wedding Singers with Ferrell and Sanz "We blew it.. HARD!" Michael Jordan does the daily affirmation |
