Default i thought this was incorrect? maybe im confused...

this is a sentence taking from excessions poker tracker blogs at bet-the-pot.com (http://www.bet-the-pot.com/poker-tra...t3-page37.html):

"I’ll take a session I played this morning at Party by way of example. It was at a $25NL table (blinds 25c/50c) called 'Bikini Babes'."

what i am confused about is, i thought the notatio 25NL means that it was 25 times the big blind...so wouldnt it be like a (10c/25c) game? not a 25c/50c?

what am i missing here....?

It's possible that the game was played w/ .25/.50 blinds with a max buy in for $25. I'm not sure if party does 50bb tables or not though. Generally the max buy in is 100bb.

Most commonly, it refers to the maximum allowed buy-in. 100 NL means max buy-in of $100 w/.50/1 blinds, $200 NL is max buy-in of $200 w/ 1/2 blinds.

Thus, 100x the big blind as the other poster said is correct and another way to look at it.
