At best this guy's range is like 88,66,74s,K8o,K6o. And even against that range you have 60% equity. As everyone has said, snap call!

He prob either stupidly slowplayed a better set or had a pair on flop, picked up a fd on turn and shoved when he hit. If he was gonna go crazy with two pair he woulda prob done it before a flush hit. These overbet donks when river flushes are almost always a flush with fishy players.

your hand is pretty much KQ and there is a general tendency on this forum to go ZOMG SET!

[/ QUOTE ]

no way he can have 86, K8, AK,33, AA?

[/ QUOTE ]
how often do you actually see those in these spots?

from my experience, we don't beat anything but a bluff. inasmuch as we'd like to make up hands villain will have and then call it a cooler when we call and lose, because we have a set, this is never going to be a worse hand when it's for value.

sooo unlikely he plays it like that

[/ QUOTE ]

So you're gonna put him on exactly 24ss, 74ss or backdoor hearts and fold?

Because following your line of thinking, he's also never playing higher sets this way.

[/ QUOTE ]
fish don't play two pair the same way they play sets. most fish will c/c this river with two pair or donk like $30.

it sounds nice to say the range we're putting him on in this thread is too narrow, but his line is representing a narrow range. whether or not you think he's bluffing is one thing, but yes, this is never a worse made hand shoving for value.

WOW @ folders.

This is EXACTLY how a ton of fish play busted [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]s.

Check/calling with draws is what fish do.

Then OMG SCARE CARD I BLUFF HIS KING.

I fold here. This type is great to play against, because he's a folder who never bluffs big on river, and super straightforward, especially if you've been playing snug.

You'll see 97/88/66 and backdoor flush draw here enough to justify a fold.

[/ QUOTE ]
