I think you can bet like $45ish and fold to a raise - for that price I can see him calling with Jx, Q8, 86, and he hasn't done anything yet to indicate that he has a better hand. If he raises he has you beaten almost always. If you check, I don't think it's safe to assume that he's only betting better hands... so check/fold doesn't make me very happy.
