I'd usually just CRAI flop in hand one, but you're line is fine.

In hand 2 every fiber of my being wants to fold, but the calldown doesn't seem terrible.

Me too. Playing a smallish top pair OOP here suckssss on that board. A billion overcards, flush-completing cards, etc that can come. The turn made it even worse, if he checks behind there's like 30 more awful river cards that can come, and with the line you've taken you're committed to paying off if he hit something. So, just c/r AI on flop.

Hand 2 looks good.
