I like flop and turn.

As played, I give up on the river. If he missed his flush your hand may be good.

The key is, he doesn't always have a flush draw. When he has a jack you're making a bad bluff into him.

I thought about check/calling river...how baller would that be?!?

The main reason I bet is that I was pretty confident in my read so 1) I felt it was pretty low risk 2) I'd rather keep an aggro image so my river bets get called later and 3) If he has a FD there is a 1/7 chance that he has the 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

Anyone advocating betting the turn - what is the point?

He is not folding a FD and if he does really have a big made hand now I just screwed myself (esp if he just flat calls because now I have a huge pot going and still don't know if he has a FD or a made hand, which would leave me clueless on the river).

Yeah Im the guy who probably never bets the turn, I dont see value to it unless maybe you can get away with betting 1/4 of the pot which im sure has no fold equity same as 1/2 pot.

if u are going to c/r here u should fire 2nd barrel to that turn because he will fold alot of hands, now u pretty much didn't use your best weapon on turn and its not as effective at the river anymore. I would prefer check calling the river to leading if those were the only options.

Bet turn. You set yourself up much better for river bluff if you miss. On this board, I don't think you are getting raised much on turn. Good river bet though.
