If we're going to fold to a raise here, I think the best play may be simply to check. |

I've some doubt that you're really a 5+ptbb winner at nl200. Or maybe, you just can't read well. [/ QUOTE ] I've some doubt that I care if you think I'm a winner. Retract my statement about this being a fold upon recognition of the fact that this is HU. Never ever fold this HU without a sick read. When I say you shouldn't call PF if you are not going to felt this flop is that they are 106BB's deep and therefore if you're playing QQ like 33 purely for set value, you are not getting the proper implied/pot odds to justify calling. CERTAINLY not when you FOLD this flop! |

Re: 400nl: Looks like a cooler, smells like a cooler, but ????????????
Is your opponent sophisticated enough to make a play like this based on your image? Have you pissed him off recently raising his too-frequent limps? This is a super-obvious AA line, but I've seen a few instances of this line as a bluff (always OOP with a med pair or rarely a horribly misplayed AK) against an obviously smart tag. If there's even a small chance of this, you have to call. Granted, I never get away from anything so my advice is bunk.

Re: 400nl: Looks like a cooler, smells like a cooler, but ????????????????
That looks like an AK line I've seen a lot at $50NL. I'm sure $400NL is a different game as the concepts some of you discuss are over my head. I mostly agree with D.L.M. I'm felting this hand 100% of the time.
Is there anyway you can get into your PT database and look at villains 3bet preflop showdowns? Would be a seriously profitable note to have for any future situation against him. |

Re: 400nl: Looks like a cooler, smells like a cooler, but ????????????
[ QUOTE ]
Pokerstove gives equal weight to whatever hands you put in...and there is no way that AK is as likely as AA/KK given the action. [/ QUOTE ] Technically speaking this is true. However, you can tweak it to add weightings to your range. Since there are only 9 combos left of AK then you could get rid of 5 of them and this would in effect assign a probability to him having AK. |
