Default i played some ePoker last night

so with all the talk of the automated poker machiens i decided to go try it out. the screens were very easy to read, and the game moved extremely fast. although you cant get reads from people moving their chips around, you can still pick up things from the way people point and click. i was out quick in NL with my measly $50 buy-in. One $600-some and another 400-some stack controlled the game, with 40$ PFRs not uncommon. Wasnt planning on investing anything more into that game with my unsober state...

So after I busted out there i went over to the 3/6, and was happy to find there was no jackpot blind like they normally have at the HP normal games. The only problem was there was no action. I was lucky to have one of the BJ-polaying locals stake half my buyin there, because after AA and AKs in a row... that game didnt go to well either.

I only have two gripes about ePoker: not enough action, and its too much work to add-on or rebuy. THe limit game was super short, ended up being 4-players, and was short the whole time i was playing NL. To add or rebuy you have to go back to the cashier, wait in line, then he adds it to your card. While this isnt even too much work for me, I think it is for a lot of the LAGs, who would rather just wander around and find another game. I hope ePoker catches on, because its so much faster (and no tipping), but unless they replace all the table and force the HP regulars to play it, there wont be enough action.
Other than that, it was pretty fun to play.

Glad you are looking forward to more ePoker, and I hope you get the game you want (I am being sincere), but........

I detest the idea. For me, ePoker just destroys the B&M experience. Before everyone gets there panties in a wad, I'm not saying ePoker machines shouldn't exist, but I certainly hope they NEVER replace a live table. Casinos have a huge incentive to promote ePoker. I personally pledge to never play an ePoker machine, lest my actions encourage the casinos in any way.....
