What is my course of action if I fail? Will I really have to make this class up next year?

[/ QUOTE ]

No, I'm pretty sure if you just admit you made a mistake they'll give you your degree anyway.

As a school administrator I'm going to go out on a limb and say no to them giving you a degree because you admitted to making a mistake.

Things you can do though are seeing if you can substitute a class you have already taken for this one since it is a lower level requirement.

Also talk to the professor. Don't kiss ass, just be honest.

GL to you OP.

I think it is very possible to still pass on merit alone.

I'm taking intermediate logic (no course pre-reqs) at Michigan as it's required for my minor. I'm nowhere near failing, but it's not ROFLOLRORLFFORLFORLFORLFOLRO SO EASY!!!!! I haven't talked to anyone in class who thinks it's a cakewalk either. This week I probably spent 7 hours doing 7 derivations. My prof has his doctorate in schadenfreud.

Logic is miserable to learn for the stuent who doesn't pay attention and go to classes...there's just soooooo many rules that build off of each other.

if you attend u're classes...it is actually fairly easy...similar to doing newspaper puzzles.

An F? That means your professor doesn't think you're logical enough to look at a door and figure out the knob.

Here's an idea. Go ask your Student Services people at your College. I'm guessing they no more about your options if you fail then a bunch of random dudes on the internet.

My University wouldn't give you the degree if you failed a required course. I'd like to think any other reputable institution would do the same thing. Its [censored] REQUIRED for a reason.

Seriously, why don't you talk to someone at your school who is in a position to actually give you some [censored] answers instead of coming here. You're potentially looking at failing a class and sticking around campus for far longer than you intended to and your first thought is to come to 2+2? Jesus.

just talk to your teacher alot... meet with him after class

just show up to all the classes and act like you are stupider than you are

if you do this it is very unlikely that he'd give you below a C... and there really is just no way he'd fail you...
