I use these lines to get value when I think my opponents hand is weak. It makes it a bad line to use as a bluff.

bet/check/bet gets looked up so often, which is why its better to be vb'ing thin here than bluffing

I feel the same way, and often get called down by 2nd, and 3rd pair in situations like this.

How do we win the hand? Fire a 2nd barrel?

For the record, I win a lot of post by 2nd barreling king or ace turns, however, when an ace or king doesn't turn, what are we doing? Certainly checking, with the intentions of betting a river is bad as shown by Deaders hands.

Thoughts?

1 is bad. he has 2 pair a lot.

2 is bad because we have showdown value against his gutshot hands, and that is the only hands that always fold. Small pairs will fold sometimes, but that is not a big part of his range.
