Advice on poker legislation research paper

I'm doing a research paper for school on how the poker legislation has impacted player activity on poker sites. The data on player numbers is pretty obvious and easy to come across, but does anyone have any suggestions for other data to discuss? Something about game difficulty would be useful, but I'm not sure that any data like that is accessible.
