Legal Question Involving Pre-Divorce / Divorce

Me and my wife share a car and will be separating, I have my own set of keys and she has her own. We bought the car together when we was married but its only in her name cause my credit sucks.

If i told her Im taking the car for a few hours. Can she call the police and report it stolen. Even tho she knows I was borrowing our car, and i was using my set of keys?

What would happen to me and what could happen to her?

Also one other question, I have alot of debt 50k+ If i file bankruptcy could i make her pay a part of that debt which was made while we was married?

I live in Florida if it matters.

I'm not so sure you should be splitting up with a woman who trusts 2+2 (not to mention OOT) so much.

It's only a temp separation till feb, because she cheated and i want my space to figure things out and so i can go to thailand

Using the car would be no problem; its a civil matter and the cops wouldn't get involved, anyway.

As for dividing up the estate, see a lawyer. There is a good chance the debt you accrued belongs to both of you.

In any event, you need to have a family lawyer take care of this. I have seen it over and over where someone thinks they can handle it themselves (even non-family law lawyers) and they just get raked.
