Knee Problems
There is something seriously wrong with my knees. This Sunday, I played football for about an hour with a group of friends. It was the first time I ran hard for a few feeks so I was expecting to be sore afterwards. I experienced pain in my knee during the game but nothing I couldnt deal with.
Anyway, shortly after the game I could hardly walk. Putting any pressure on the ball of my feet would cause SEVERE pain at the top of my shinbone. I literally could not walk for the next 48 hours. If I tried to walk without supporting myself somehow my legs would just give out. Has anybody experienced anything like this before? |

Re: Knee Problems
How old are you?
(The remainder of this post is all about me.) My knees started to crumble when I was 35. They told me, "Arthritis, nothing can be done, take a lot of Advil." It got worse and worse. By the time I was 38, I was using a cane (and growing from "Really Fat" to "Tremendously Fat", because walking hurt too much). In the last few weeks, it just became unbearable, so I went back to the doctor to ask about knee replacement. Different insurance this time around, so I had to go to a different doctor. I got lucky this time, and drew a competent doctor. He introduced me to the wonders of the cortisone shot, and I haven't needed the cane since. I took a walk around the block the other night for the first time in years. Life is good again. |
