This is a live 2-20 spread limit hand. Blinds 1/2

I am in UTG +2

UTG limps
I raise to 8 with QQ.
Tricky player MP1 who likes to isolate against me makes it 18.
Folds to tricky/aggressive player on button who makes it 38.
I call.
MP1 raises to 58.
Button calls.
I call.

Pot is $158.

Flop comes Q44.
I lead for $20

MP1 folds

Button calls.

Turn is a Q.

I lead for $20

Button folds.

**I have been making a conscious effort to play as straightforwardly as possible. At the time, I felt that at least one of these guys has AA or KK, so I was looking to be raised on the flop. Should I have check-raised the flop? How about the turn? What's the best way to get value here?

Sixes,

I think betting the flop in this hand is pretty awful. Sorry

Did I miss value by suddenly leading (although the draw was deceptive)? In the case of an aggressive bettor, and willing caller, did I miss a bet or even two with my river bet?

[/ QUOTE ]

Sounds to me like an ideal spot for a river checkraise, though this lead is not as bad as leading the flop in the quads hand

This is something I need to pay more attention to. The hand is much different if the previous streets were check, check, bet, call, call.

The fact that it was going check, bet, call, call leads me to believe that likely river action if I went for the C/R would have been check, bet, call, raise, call, fold resulting in at least $40 more dollars.

lol, yeah I feel you guys. I'd want a gun too, but I try to just tell myself that an awful player w/ a Stars account winning millions of dollars would be a good thing for a lot of 2+2ers.

I'm back home now and I'm suffering Vegas withdrawal. Everything there is going 24 hrs a day and there is always fun, soft live poker and hot chicks walking by the Wynn poker room. Anyone else experience this? How should I deal? Painkillers and vodka?
