Backgammon rake

How does it affect play, and is 5.9% high? It seems a lot harder playing with this rake than with time.

I only say that the most Backgammonplayers move to Poker. These days you make as a good player around 6-10 points profit if you play 100 points, and you pay 6 points rake [img]/images/graemlins/smile.gif[/img]

Backgammon is a great game, but hard to make money with it these days. The good time for backgammon was 6-10 years ago.

well, I'm sucking so bad at poker, I need something to get my confidence back. Or at least something different to run bad at.

If you play on a good level you recognize easy if there is a bot. The good thing in backgammon is that sometimes it is a more social game and you can chat alot during the games.
