Default Beat: Listening to a whole Bright Eyes album is depressing

I was in a good mood until somehow my iTunes turned emo and served up 40 minutes of Bright Eyes. Suggestions? ISSCKM?

Bright Eyes just never...took off. Was interesting a few years back, but never turned out great.
Desaparecidos is a lot better.

It seems to me like Bright Eyes gets progressively worse with each album. His best stuff was done in his basement when he was 14 or whatever. Then Fevers and Mirrors is good. Lifted is alright but not as good as Fevers and Mirrors. Then we move into meh terrority.

fevers and mirrors was awesome... And I'm wide awake it's morning is, although not that great, still better than 90% of the albums made on this planet
