Can someone explain to me what will be the method of selecting the player eliminated when theyre 8 players left. Is zurvan going to sacrifice himself for his loyal buddies?

if zurvan's alliance does go through and get its way- im all for Val's idea of punishing the late joiners at the end. And 3 votes isnt insignificant.

[/ QUOTE ]

the only problem with it is, is that a vote for zurvan at this point is not a bid to win, it's a 'last longer' vote, so i don't imagine anyone voting for zurvan here realistically thinks they are going to win, they just want to be hugged whilst they are knifed in the back later on.

[/ QUOTE ]

Why would you think this?

Because I didn't specifically invite you to the alliance?

Whatever.

If you're in, you're in. Once it's down to the alliance only, obviously things will realign. And there's no telling how that realignment will go. Steadfastly refusing to make allies in this game is just leaving yourself in a position where the best you can hope for is the opportunity to spite vote someone from the jury because they sealed the alliance against you.

There's a lot of game between now and then. But I'm not sacrificing myself for [censored], and I don't think any of the 13 other players in the game would, either.

all of this talk of trustworthiness is silly, especially at the this point, with the game becoming so polarized

[/ QUOTE ]

this is politics. Zurvan is running on the trust platform. Five people have voted for him because of this.

Run on any platform you desire

[/ QUOTE ]

can we please stop with this rhetoric

Zurvan's platform is join us to make it to at least the final 8. Trust has nothing to do with this.

[/ QUOTE ]

Well it does.
See it's already a polar game. It's either join Zurvan's faction or dustin's faction.

Theoritically, i suppose a 3rd faction could start up, but with us at 5 already that would not make any sense

So now the other have to choose. When choosing, they need to decide where their best chance of winning is. Zurvan says join my group, you will make the final 8, and be on equal footing and that you should trust him based on his past performances. Your group says, "Lets kill zurvan, and turn on the people who supported you" that is exactly what you said. So i would think a neutral person would be more comfortable joining a group of people that they believe they can trust

So trust actually does have a lot to do with the thinking process of the remaining players

Dusting, its going to be almost impossible to win if you join last with 3 votes against you, you are going to need 5 votes out of 6 which is going to be almost imposible considering that once the last 8 are reached, new alliances will be formed.

maybe it is true that everyone within your faction has an equal chance of winning

It is CERTAINLY true of our faction, whereas your statements are contradictory and so unclear

but really rather than this fps strawman you're trying to build, all you can offer is 'we'll be nice to each other'. That's fine, but it's not going to help anyone win the game. That's my point.

I doubt that everybody will agree to this, since most people on the jury will want to vote for the person that they feel deserves to win. What if the 8th person to join the alliance plays a brilliant game? You're going to vote against them?

I highly doubt it. In fact, were I ot come in to this thread and see the alliance at 7, I wouldn't hesitate to be the 8th in, knowing that, even if all 6 people NOT in the alliance SAY they won't ever vote for me in the final 2, most won't stick to that by the end.

first off, I don't have a faction.

2nd, to suggest I would backstab anybody is nuts. What I said is that we should elimiate all of the people trying to form an alliance, and then play the game.
