Default HU vs a maniac, how was this played?

This is a HU .50c table on stars, me and villian have played about 200 hands before this and is playing 51/47... It has been really hard to put him on any hand, he has shown suited face cards, total garbage, and everything in between. If I limp the button he auto raises, and also raises about every hand on the button.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (2 handed) Hand History converter Courtesy of PokerZion.com

BB ($93.20)
Hero ($115.25)

Preflop: Hero is Button with 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img].
<font color="#CC3333">Hero raises to $1.5</font>, <font color="#CC3333">BB raises to $3.5</font>, Hero calls $2.

Flop: ($7) 7[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">BB bets $4.5</font>, Hero calls $4.50.

Right here I want him to hang him self, this flop is harmless to me and I want him to fire off bluffs and just pairs.

Turn: ($16) J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">BB bets $13</font>, Hero calls $13.

Now I feel i should have put in a raise, but didnt because I wanted him to keep going, my plan was to call this and push the river on a safe card...

River: ($42) 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] <font color="#0000FF">(2 players)</font>
<font color="#CC3333">BB bets $43.5</font>, Hero calls $43.50.

Crap, now what should I really have done?

Final Pot: $129

Stats really aren't that important hu, and 51/47 looks somewhat normal.
raise flop, your 200bb deep, guy is a maniac, and all sorts of cards will kill your action
