4. ElD hype propelled it to a fast start at roughly 1,000 posts/day the last few days of January and it spent the majority of this month stabilizing. I expect it will settle in around 250-300 posts/day in March, and build from that strong base. Well done ElD and Crew.

[/ QUOTE ]

I know people are interested in this, so just to note... ElD traffic in Mar so far, is running at 220 posts/day.

Also noteworthy, Now that American Idol is in full swing, AIW is up to 117 posts/day... Well done Granny & Mike

[/ QUOTE ]

ElD Traffic in March now at 190 posts/day...

The Gym in the playground, also off to a nice start... well done Kyleb

[/ QUOTE ]

ElD traffic in March now at 174 posts/day.

March comments:

1. BBV (#1) and BBV4Life (#4) continue their strong growth trend!

2. ElD (#21) posting traffic drops 50% (the largest drop this month) to 171 p/d, lower than expectations, while TLDR (#26) up 34% gains some momentum. ElD looks like you have some work to do...

3. In the Strategy forums, SSNL (#2) takes a breather, while SSSH (#18) jumps 50% in a return to 4th Qtr posting numbers, and MSH (#23) continues its positive trend. While HSNL (#22) and HSH (#54) traffic continues to fall.

4. With Idol in full swing, AIW (#30) gets another 51% boost this month... Go Granny.

5. The Gym (#34) in Mod Playground gets off to a fast start. Worth noting that since it was only open for about half the month, actual p/d is roughly twice what's displayed on the chart... Well done Kyleb.

6. PF (#33) and MMB (#42) growth trend stopped dead in its tracks. These forums, at last report, are slated to merge in the upcoming upgrade, which will seal MMB's fate, if the merge actually occurs.

7. Mod (#24), ATF (#29) and Politics (#17) all boosted by recent Mod related controversies.

8. OMG Dynasty... what to do, even RakebackNetwork (#59) barely beats out Mag (#60) this month.

9. I'll try to find time to calculate the figures for 4th Qtr '05 and 1st Qtr '06, this month.

10. Finally, the planned date to upgrade to UBB7 is now Saturday April 7th, expect the forums to be down for most of the day, next weekend. (unless this changes)

Nick, how many posts does that account for prior to their being moved to The Gym from OOT? 10% of the total posts in The Gym?

ok, rough calc... 2500p-440p=2060p/18d=114+ p/d... which would put it around #24 on the list. Nice start for a Playground topic. We'll see if it can hold and build on that traffic level in April, barring a playground shift.

It certainly seems to support the idea that a health/fitness forum would get good traffic.

its interesting that the traffic boost to TLDR is due to threads like "TV: What are you watching tonight?", "Ask the 2+2 Ladies your questions", and a POG-esque game thread, none of which are what TLDR was created for.

btw, worth noting on EDF 58.3 Avg P/T, which means all the topics in EDF are great at generating discussion, so all that would really be needed to boost traffic is for a few people to start a few more threads. So if by "ElD looks like you have some work to do..." you mean "keep being awesome" then you're right on.

I'm fairly confident that if we can stop MMB from being merged that we will be able to continue growing having now smoothed over the rough patches that took place in transition.
