Re: 2007-8 Eastern Conference
The real list of the top 8 (Note: 1-3 are all really close and could be switched)
1. Detriot 2. Celtics 3. Bulls 4. Wizards 5. Cavs 6. Raptors 7. Heat (could jump into top 3 if Shaq/Dwade are healthy) 8. Toss up between Magic/Nets |

Re: 2007-8 Eastern Conference
i would expect the cavs to win at least 54. dunno where that will put them. 50 wins the last 2 yrs and the younger guys should be much improved.

Re: 2007-8 Eastern Conference
Mainly because Washington's really not that good.
I bet I can guess that without even looking at Washington's schedule (because you know his argument will be that their record was X and X when XXX were healthy) that their schedule was pretty soft until that point. |

[/ QUOTE ] I agree on Washington. This is a team that barely made the playoffs last year, and did absolutely nothing to improve this offseason, while everyone around them got a lot better. I could see the Bucks and Knicks hopping over them too. I think a lot of people are sleeping on New Jersey too. Remember they're getting Krstic back, and added Magloire and Williams to the frontcourt. And they still have Kidd, Carter, and Jefferson. Probable starting 5 of Kidd, Carter, Jefferson, Collins/Williams/Magloire, Krstic with Marcus Williams, Wright, Nachbar, Collins/Williams/Magloire off the bench. |

Miami may be given too much credit re: chances of actually making the playoffs. They're really bad.

[/ QUOTE ] I don't think they're a great team either but I just went with something a bit more bold, any of my bottom half could end up in any of those spots. People are underestimating a Magic team without Brian Hill & with Shard. DH & Jameer are so going to be a lot better with some help. |

People overestimate the effects of coaching 3. What Lewis adds isn't that much over what they lost |
