I was visiting family over the 4th of July break and my uncle busted out this Nebbiolo made in Mendocino county. The brand was Enotria and I believe it was a '98. In any event, I found the wine to be quite unique and enjoyable. The nose reminded me of pine needles and the initial taste had a fairly strong berry flavor. I would recommend taking a flyer on this one if you are looking for something different.

Had lots of fun wines the last week.
Shafer 1998 Hillside Select was outstanding. A really good Cab Franc that hopefully DaveR can fill us in on. the 2003 Domaine Serene Jerusalem Hill is drinking really good. 2003 Panther Creek Shea Vineyard was recommended by our waiter at Prime and it was super well balanced and nice. 2005 Mollydooker "The Boxer" Shiraz a great value.

Oh, I can't wait for the fall when my case of 02 JH arrives. One can't find any 02 oregon pinot anywhere, let alone something this good. I am mega psyched.
