O_o staking poisoned it is. yikes

send me your picture, poisoned, i'll put you on an apron.

wickss' post-flop play in that hand is fine. if 85 is villains raising range think about how many hands he folds to the flop push, not to mention we still have 6 outs against most hands that call.

[/ QUOTE ]

WAY too big a bet. you accomplish the same thing with a much smaller one. it was a bad bad play imo, especially with his chipstack and the meager amount in the pot

i was just kidding about the poisoned thing though of course. i just like putting people on aprons. i'll put you on an apron if you don't watch yourself...

oops, too late. you've been apronified. let that be a lesson to you.

Hello Wickss and MJ,
I have been a lurker on this site for probably 2 years - decided to make a post and since I read Wickss announcement when OP was 3 posts old, and have read every word, decided to post here first. It has made me laugh many, many times, and have enjoyed the human interest story his poker life has become. I also have been trying to build a bankroll online by playing low limit cash games, small stakes MTT's and when I have won the tokens I play the guaranteed events, freerolls, and in the last month 9 man 6.50s on FT. I also play live fairly often, and was wondering if you guys ever travel to the casinos in OK - Tulsa or any others? They do have good omaha games at the Cherokee in Tulsa, especially when they have big tournaments like the Scotty Nguyen Poker Challenge starting May 17. I don't know if Wickss has any funds that he plays with offline, but if he does, this might be a good event to look up if you haven't already, as it is fairly close to him as well. I know Wickss mentioned somewhere that he goes to KC sometimes, so was just wondering about OK and thought I would mention this series of events coming up. I will be there for several of the events, and if Wickss does end up going to play live, would like to just meet and say hello while there. Thanks for the laughs, and gl to both of you.

[/ QUOTE ]Hey there, welcome to the thread, and thanks for all the info. For quite a while now, we have talked about going to play some live poker in Oklahoma. Thanks for the heads-up on the events coming up there, we just might have to check some of that out. If we end up going, I'll pm you, and work out a way for all of us to meet. Good luck with your bankroll building as well, and I hope you continue to be entertained by this story.

[/ QUOTE ]You're right it is way too big. I didn't think about the hand very well. My sng experience makes me think of shoving more often. I need to learn to play deep stack poker better.

Not to bring too much strategy into the wickss thread, but is the preflop call correct? Is "restealing" with a pf push acceptable? Or is this just a case of StopNgo gone wrong? I know the results may taint the thought process, but any playas care to offer opinion on this hand?

***Edited to add stopngo question***

Wicks, bankroll update? Haven't heared anything about that in a while. How's the cashflow working out?

[/ QUOTE ]I believe his bankroll is right around 1k. He has had to make a couple cashouts to pay bills. His plan is to continue playing $6 sng's and $25 plo for a while.

Is 1k sufficient for the 11rebuy hes playing now?

[/ QUOTE ]Probably not, because you can plan on spending $50 on it, which is 5% of his bankroll. I guess he believes in taking shots. LOL.

Im not sure how easy it is to dpeposit on there in America but the sit and go's are WAY easier, though the blinds are super quick. lots of low buy in tourneys too.
