Default Phil Gordon\'s play of leading into the raiser when you think he missed

He kept suggesting this in the final table commentary. Is this a good play? I would tend to checkraise, float, or bet the turn if checked around if I wanted to bluff at a flop I thought the other guy missed.

If I call from the blinds against a late position raiser I will sometimes lead at a very uncoordinated flop. It seems like a pretty standard play against a tight opponent.

He was advocating it where effective stacks were deep enough for an aggressive PF raiser to raise/fold. That's what was confusing about his analysis.

Tuan Lam did it with success a couple of times against the older nit with success, but advocating it against Yang who seemed very capable of raising these leads or floating, I don't understand it.

I agree with this. Against a supertight player, it can be an effective play, risking less chips than a checkraise. Against a good player, I would only consider doing it if my bet was a significant chunk of the preflop raiser's stack.

If people do it to me, I generally raise them.

Which is why the bet/3-bet AI is effective for getting paid off with smaller stacks and the CRAI to pick up the pot, no?

In this case, we CR light and fold to 3-bet AI's where Villain won't 3-bet AI light.

Am I wrong here?

I would donk into Rahme pretty much every single time.

The flops that are best to lead out on while heads up are KJxr and Q9xr.
