SPY (S&P 500 etf). Why? Because I suck at research. I don't have the time nor the inclination. This will track the market nicely and it's easy to hedge and time. Has a nice tight and liquid options market and I like to use collars to both lessen risk and increase returns. I don't have all of my eggs in one basket though. I have a variety of small and midcap etfs as well as international exposure.

Other than BRK.B and Index Funds....

Suntech Power(STP). By happy coincidence, also my most successful stock so far(<4 months in individual stocks).

Got in at $25.90, now at $35.88. Found it as a Motley Fool Rulebreaker pick.

I would just caution people reading this post from jumping into some of the stocks mentioned without doing their own research. For me as of now its Valero (VLO). I have also been adding to my position in Nuvelo (NUVO). My reasons? I love to lose money

VLO looks like a good buy right now, hope you didn't get in at the top.

No I been swing trading it (i think its swing trade, in at 49 out at 54, in at 49 ect...). But even at current price, its a steal IMO. These stocks have been getting beat up because people are under the impression we will be ethanol dependent and that a barrel of gas will be $20. Of course both cases are a dreamers dream.
