Re: Asians on the golf course.
back in the day when i was an avid golfer (remeber when woods were made of wood, shafts and spikes were steel?), i found that bad/inconsiderate golfers were not confined to ethnic, race, etc.
my solution was to kindly ask to play through. then hit into then a couple times again asking to play through. then accept that its gonna be along round. practice around the greens if no one is behind you. if you are having a bad round, have a beer/bowl. |

Re: Asians on the golf course.
i've actually played with every golf-playing asian group in the world and according to my records, this assertion is true in 36.98631% of the cases, roughly speaking.

Re: Asians on the golf course.
People that haven't noticed this trend with Asian golfers have probably never seen Asian golfers.

Re: Asians on the golf course.
Went golfing last week. Some roundeye yelled at us because the marshall yelled at him and his group for going to slow. He thought we had told the marshall to yell at them, but we hadn't and told him so. I guess there could have been a golf course fight, but we're too old for that junk. They were going damn slow and were hackers(taking multiple balls off the tee, chunky shots that go 20 yards galore) but got moving after the confrontation, so it worked out anyways.
We play from the tips but can finish in 3-3.5 hours if it's wide open in front of us. I think the demographic you are referring to is older asians(40s and 50s). They do play damn slow, but so do all people in that age range, regardless of race. There are TONS of asians at the public courses in LA. DN |

I have played a lot of golf and not seen this. One thing I have seen is people from Japan tend to have really sweet clubs as a rule. [/ QUOTE ] True. |

Is this too racist? [/ QUOTE ] Are you in the US? If so, it's probably not racist enough. You get a lot of leeway bagging on Asians, I guess because the overall perception is that they've been successful, make money, drive big cars (badly), and when someone like Bill Parcells or Adam Carolla lets one slip on the air, it generally gets laughed off. Your best play, IMO, is to identify the specific group early. If they're Japanese or Chinese, you may be in for a long day, but if they're Korean, they're probably pretty good. |

Re: Asians on the golf course.
Dude, this is sooo true. Sooo annoying. I live in Irvine so I experience this BS first hand all the time. They think they own the place!
And BTW, the best asian only hit the ball like 240, LOL None of those [censored] can even come close to breaking 90 either...so funny, lol. Down with asian. |
