Every East series going today - should be interesting to see how all the non-Islander losing teams react. actually two have already changed their starting goalie and tampa may do the same if holmqvist is as bad as he was in game 1.

Predictions?

Ottawa 3-2 over Pens
...Pens come back strong after terrible first outing, but cant steal one in Ottawa

TB 4-2 over Devils
...there big guns steal 1, and NJs offense hits the wall

Atlanta 3-1 over Rangers
...NYR goalie cant stand on his head forever...Atlanta comes out motivated

Buffalo 5-2 over NYIslanders
...another workmanlike win

Cheechoo got the mouth damage by hitting his face on the ice after the hit, not from an elbow.

LMAO.... Trotz is the only one saying that. GJ buying into the homerism. Actually, most pred fans that aren't rednecks saying "NO PENALTY~!" on the Hartnell hit admit it was a [censored] and dirty move. TRYING to make contact with the leg = illegal. TRYING to make contact when it's late = illegal. TRYING to make contact with the elbow = illegal. Guess what's not illegal? Trying to avoid a hit.

Stop being such a dork about everything San Jose-related. That, and your EXCESSIVE use of CAPITALISM in EVERY sentence is getting old.

As for the games going tonight:

NJ goes up 2-0
ATL evens it up at 1-1
BUF goes up 2-0
OTT goes up 2-0

yeah i'll bite on predictions -

buffalo goes up 2-0 ldo - the only question is whether they score 5 or 6 goals.

nj-tampa is too close to call - i do think it will be way more defensive and that vinny l and st. louis will not have their way with NJ as they did in game one.

atl-nyr - atlanta going with hedberg is a bad sign, i think the rangers take this game as well

pit-ott - if pittsburgh can establish itself early, they can take this game for sure. i think they will.

You're pathetic. I'm assuming you have some proof that it was the elbow and not the ice that caused the face injury, or are you just assuming because it fits the picture you're trying to paint? You know what? Sharks players can get hurt on clean plays---as the Hartnell/Cheechoo play was. It's pretty much the opposite of what you describe, too. Pretty much everyone who isn't a mindless Sharks homer is saying it wasn't a dirty play. Pretty much everyone who has weighed in on this thread doesn't think it was a dirty play. YOU are the exception here, not me. And FTR, I'm pretty much the farthest thing from a redneck there is.

You're making yourself look like a mindless jackass, which you may be, and you probably should just stop posting here and run along to some San Jose Sharks message board where you and all your brethren can whine together and talk about how dirty everyone else in the NHL is.
