Haven't seen villain before but he was 23/21 in 75 hands.

He instacalled my flop 3 bet.

I considered shoving turn for value but thought it was more likely I'm getting trapped than getting value so decided to just try to check it down.

I used to never 3 bet with an overpair on dry flops but people play back at me and then call down so light that I've started adding a lot more legit hands to bluffy lines.

combined with river fold even uglier. I call flop raise and take it from there.

People think 99 is good here. He could have a missed draw, which as stupid as it sounds, they still bluff with even understacked.

Is flop really that bad given thinking I outlined above?

Can I really expect him to bluff this river, wouldn't it be better to shove turn if I'm going to put more money in pot?

why not just shove if you're going to 3-bet the flop?
