Re: Post if your wife is pregnant
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] Less than two weeks before her first birthday, my daughter called me "Dad." My wife was getting her in her pajamas after her bath tonight and I was just watching, making goofy faces and what-not. My daughter gave me a big grin, then paused and said, "Da-d." We were shocked. Then my wife said to her, "Alena, who's that?" while pointing to me. Once again, but a little more forceful, my baby said, "Dad." When we cheered for her, she started laughing and clapping, and then farted bare-assed on my wife's hand while my wife was applying Balmex. Re: Post if your wife is pregnant
Hi All,
I’m happy to announce the birth of our son, Ethan on October 25th, 2007 at 9:57am. Ethan is a bouncing baby boy, weighing in at 7 pounds 10 ounces. Both Mom and Baby are doing well. I'll post a pic or two after I get them home. I just ran home for a few things figured I'd show the thread some love. Thanks! Zam |

Re: Post if your wife is pregnant
Dear 2+2,
I am both incredibly happy and incredibly nervous to announce that my wife is pregnant. The second trimester begins either today (Monday the 29th) or tomorrow (Tuesday the 30th), depending on how you count things. So, the official due date is in May, but we're inducing around 38 weeks (April 25th). After Allan's stillbirth and a subsequent miscarriage, we're officially "high risk" now, so we've had a lot of appointments, including 5 ultrasounds so far. The little one is *very* cute . At the last ultrasound appointment, the technician was nice enough to hit the 3D/4D button .. wow, that stuff is simply amazing! Like Ken_AA, we got a fetal doppler monitor for peace of mind. We also got a KickTrak, an awesome little device that helps with kick counting. I don't really feel like preaching here, but I'll just mention that good scientific research has shown that kick counting reduces the risk of stillbirth. As they say on the internet, LET US GOGOGO -poin/michael |

Great news, poincaraux! As someone who was moved to tears by your last story, I'll definitely be hoping for all the best for you and your wife.
(and yeah, that 4D stuff is amazing...) |

Re: Post if your wife is pregnant
We're going in for the next visit on Friday. They'll order the ultrasound after that that should let us know the baby's sex. Baby #1 is progressing nicely, and mom's morning sickness has subsided.
