believe it or not... NLHE, the way it is played today, is probably one of the lowest variance games.

I beat .5/1 for my first 10k hands and broke even for the next 20k hands.

I refuse to believe I got worse in omaha. I blame variance.

this is really only half true. while the variance in nlh is fairly low, the very small winrates posted even by excellent players lead to some really monster swings.

Adding to the good comments here. Even with a lot of hands played e.g. 100k, your next month of results will not very likely mirror your historical winrate.
