Default Calling here? (razz)

I don't like the 7 raising on top, but the 3 being in that hand scared me away from calling, even though the 7 probably has a better hand. Not sure if this is a call here with 3 outs dead

Razz ($0.25/$0.50), Ante $0.05, Bring-In $0.10 (converter)

Against reasonable opponents I think I'd *probably* usually throw your hand away here. There are two exceptions..

* If Seat 3 is known to raise light to isolate (this requires that Seat 1 be kind of a loose raiser to begin with, and also for Seat 2 to likely know this)
* If I was reasonably sure I could get Seat 1 to fold by re-raising. Pretty risky.

I think calling is almost out of the question because you need a pretty damn good hand to call 2 cold, a better hand than you'd need to raise in Seat 2's position. This is because his raise has added value:
* He can narrow the field to heads up, probably (for instance, you threw away an 85, which might be better than his 87 for example)
* If Seat 1 was raising light, it'll be easier to pick up the pot on 4th or 5th than if he called
Calling has no added value, except deception, but your hand is not good enough here to qualify for that.

Would you yourself have raised if Seat 2 had folded?

Damn I actually didn't notice that the 3 called between the completion and the raise. Definite fold.

There's actually five dead outs showing (two 3's, two 7's and one 6). Both seat 1 (who completed into table full of low cards) and seat 3 (who raised him) have legit hands. I'd hate to get sandwiched with the 3rd best hand here. Seems like an easy fold to me.

Looks pretty routine.
