Default responding to getting pushed around

General question, just happened to me and I probably didn't respond well. It's an $11 3-tabler, and everyone but the chip leader is 10XBB or less. Well, starting at the bubble and even after just ITM, every time I try to steal -- always in LP -- I get it shoved back at me. Not the same player each time either. Hadn't shown any bad hands before that. I stayed in it by doubling through when my AK push was instacalled, but for the most part, after the players to my left made it clear they didn't respect me I figured I had to tighten up. Wait for a hand, which never really came.

It's probably a bad question, but what the heck do I do? Keep plowing forward and having to decide to call a push with K9? Wait for a hand? Open push more? I felt like an utter weak-tight in this one, and in general I don't know quite what to do on the occasions this happens.

Depends on how many big blinds you have. 15 bbs or less your only option if you're raising is to shove unless you're getting tricky with AA, KK.

I usually start pushing when I'm below 10BB. Every time I got it pushed back at me I had 12 or more BBs.

In a mtt I start pushing with an M of 10 which is 15 bbs without antes, barry greenstein plays the same way, other players start pushing later. In a 1 table sng I start pushing somewhere between 10-15 bbs depending on stacks and if I'm first to open.

I guess the only things you can do other then open pushing are:

1. Push over a loose raiser in front of you, as long as you have enough chips for some fe.

2. Wait for a hand you can go all the way with when you raise.

3. Don't raise the players who give you no respect, so instead of raising in lp raise earlier into the tighter players blinds.

I think the last option is the best, even if that includes +10BB hands. It's the only style your opponents wont like. All the others favor them making their earlier plays somewhat justified.

When shoving A5s for 10BB is +EV, shoving it for 13BB can't become very -EV. So be prepared to die, because otherwise that's what seperates them from you.

I usually start pushing in mtts with > 10bbs.
A ~15 bbs stack is better for resteal IMO.

don't raise from early position unless your willing to call a shove by a stack that is less than 10 BBs. Simple as that.

1) Abuse limpers - In some tourneys, I shove with ATC as BB with a few limpers. 90% of the time they all fold and that 10% of the time you still probably have some outs.
2) If you're doing a standard raise and it will be over 1/3rd to 1/4th of your chipstack, just shove instead.
