It's "lose" not "loose" and you dont bet the river so he folds his 2 pair, you bet the river because you are way ahead of the range of hands he is holding that will pay off your river bet. A river bet is what we in the poker world call +EV

another reason is your weak betting.
1 pf raise, 1 call 1 flop bet, 1 call 1 turn bet, 1 call total 5.5bb You're not going to get 8x (no diamonds) to fold when you play that weak. Your bets look like you have overcards with Ace diamonds and are simply building the pot in hopes of a 4th diamond dropping.
