Villain is McShove. I've not played a ton with him...only about 200 hands or so. But seems good and I have him at 18/12/1.4 over those 200 hands.

UTG raise ranges are typically pretty small, shove. Don't see how you can fold if you're really only worried about TT/88 here.

I did shove, but I didn't like it. It's pretty obvious what I have here, and he doesn't care.

Anyway, I shove and he instacalls with his J9s and it holds up.

The following chat ensues.

me: "nh"

him: "ez laydown against me"

me: "your mom's an ez laydown" (I'm just upset the player deals crap to a compliment)

him: "perhaps, but not as ez a laydown as 777 on that board against me"

me: "haha. right."

Really, can't see how you can lay that one down and wouldn't have seen J9s in his PF range from UTG. TT or 88 maybe...
I really understant you had a bad feeling here, but I guess you see AA,KK stuff much more often here than flopped miracle straights you really can't put people on.

Shrug. Annoying but if you're gonna fold there you might as well fold everything but aces preflop and open shove those to be sure you get it in good.
