Yuck. He has a 6 here like never and played it exactly like a flush draw or 2-pair. Stacks get awkward if you make any meaningful bet and he comes over the top. What hands does vill look you up with here? Will he call $37 with 99 or A4? Is he capable of a river CRAI with air?

I think I just check.

easy check behind imo. what worse hands calls you here. an overpair hates his hand now

Why couldn't he have a 6 and feels that leading might be put him in a sucky spot because he isn't sure if hero has 86 or just a lone 6? Some people, especially bad NL 100 players think that way and play the one card straight weakly.

I'm betting $70 and expecting a LAG to call with a hand we are in front of.

he only calls with 1 hand we are ahead of. a 6. we have one of them. he may wind up calling with some overpair but i doubt it given the board texture. he beats nothing but a bluff. i dont see what we gain from a bet besides when he has a 6 ( about 3% of his range). aand we lose 70 or more when he calls or shoves and we are behind

Eh, it's sorta deep here against an aggressive player...not sure you can rely on any value from a bet. How could you be bluffing here?

I would consider betting stronger on the turn, given the stack sizes. He may very well have a 6 or set at that point, plus you'd like to set up a reasonable pot for a big river bet. An overpair may come along too.

I don't understand why people are checking behind. Without being results oriented, it's hard to put him on a set or flush draw, and after he calls four to a straight you've got to expect him to call a river bet with a worse hand. I bet the river but puke if raised against random.
