Default donked on very scary turn by one of the best

villain here is one of the best, a very good adaptive hand reading LAGTAG.
not really sure of what his read on me is since we don't play together much. in a recent session he won 2 pots from me without showdown in spots where he should know I was folding a pair

Limit Holdem Ring game
Limit: $10/$20
5 players
Converter

Pre-flop: (5 players) yourface is Button with J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]
UTG folds, <font color="#cc0000">CO raises</font>, <font color="#cc0000">yourface 3-bets</font>, 2 folds, <font color="#cc0000">CO caps</font>, yourface calls.

Flop: 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (9.5SB, 2 players)
<font color="#cc0000">CO bets</font>, <font color="#cc0000">yourface raises</font>, CO calls.

Turn: A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (6.75BB, 2 players)
<font color="#cc0000">CO bets</font>,

????

also I was going to check back the turn if he checked to me, what do you think of that?

I think it's a fold. Too many times will he have Ax compared to any middle pair of 1010/88/77/55/33/22 that you beat. I really think king or queen high is out of the question for your read on him, so I fold here and wait for a better spot.

Checking if he checked behind you would be fine for me. See what the river is and go from there, if it's nothing scary, then I bet or call down.

what's his capping range? if it's AK,AQs,TT+ then you are only winning against TT.

TT - 6 combos (add 0.5 combos for JJ since we split)
AA - 3 combos
QQ,KK - 12 combos
AK - 12 combos
AQs - 3 combos

6.5 worse combos and 30 better ones. you will have to pay 2BB to win 8.75, so it's 1:4.38 on a 1:4.61 shot. even if he bets his whole range twice you don't have a profitable call-down. and the call-down becomes even worse if he (correctly) gives up on some portion of his bluffs.

btw, what do you think is a good capping range in this situation. i think i've been a nit since the range i gave is pretty much my capping range.

Maybe he uses b/c line with AX and b/f with pp in this spot, so if you think he can fold QQ,KK raise/fold to represent A9 AA 99 is an option.

66'ish KJs, KQo, A9s, AJo, QJs, JTs, T9s
