Just a bit of a heads up to all you non-ballers out there like me that stay wherever the poker rate is offered, the only rooms you can get at the poker rate are in the hotel. I'm not sure if the rooms are much different than the tower, but I've heard they're slightly worse. I doubt this would prevent any proud degenerate from coming, just something to keep in mind.

I reserved my room tonight and they said they only offered poker rate in the hotel for this tournament. The last time I went in March I got the tower at poker rate, but according to them it isn't offered this time around.

OK, I guess I have to reserve rooms earlier then. I just called and asked, I guess the rooms set aside in the tower for poker rate are already booked. *Shakes fist angrily at early planning 2p2ers* I can deal with the hotel as I don't plan on spending much time in my room anyway. They're going to tell me if a poker rate room in the tower opens up, so if any of you want to cancel your room in the tower you're more than welcome to

I just got off the phone with a Turning Stone Rep

They said that if you're playing in any of the tournaments that you're pretty much guaranteed to get a room at the poker rate (80/night). They have LOTS of rooms left at the poker rate that are only for tournament players.

EDIT: Also they're expected about 300 for the main event which makes first prize 300,000
