Re: what to do about the Jerk....???
Um, okay, but those things are other places. Sounds to me like boring typical busted out emotion. He was muttering to himself, on his way out the door, and instead of letting a person he just broke off with a bad beat leave, the person at the table decided to make a thing about it.
If you want to kick the guy out of your game, it seems like you'll have no trouble filling his seat. You don't need to manufacture a reason. But really, the people at your game need to relax a bit. It's not like this is an intimate home environment with one guy making it uncomfortable. It's more of a cardroom atmosphere with a lot of turnover. Just email him and say that you're sorry he busted on a suckout, but that he has to take his losses better, since it's the worse players who help him profit. The guy who gave a parting shot to the loser on his way out the door should get an email telling him to grow a tougher hide and let the loser slink out the door, no need to stir things up like that. |

Re: what to do about the Jerk....???
This sounds exactly like one of the so-so players I know. Takes every beat personally, yet considers himself the best player at whatever table he sits at.
The problem with the situation is that he is the host. You don't live anywhere near Gresham, Oregon do you? |

Re: what to do about the Jerk....???
Just remind everyone, "Hey guys! We should all be nice to each other and try for a kinder, gentler atmosphere! Smile!"
Because it sounds like an incredibly small thing from your description of it |
