Default Bubble play Poker Stars Money Maker Millionaire Round 1

There are 60 players left to 50 move on to the next round. I have an M of about 5. Play has been very tight and the last people are going slow.

PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t8000 (9 handed) Hand History Converter Tool from FlopTurnRiver.com (Format: FlopTurnRiver)

Button (t41740)
SB (t128066)
Hero (t58900)
UTG (t357154)
UTG+1 (t83970)
MP1 (t191140)
MP2 (t137215)
MP3 (t109064)
CO (t110786)

Preflop: Hero is BB with Q, 2.
[color=#666666]5 folds</font>, CO calls t8000, [color=#666666]1 fold</font>, SB completes, Hero checks.

Flop: (t23200) 9, 6, Q [color=#0000FF](3 players)</font>
SB checks, [color=#CC3333]Hero bets t24000</font>, [color=#CC3333]CO raises to t48000</font>, SB folds, [color=#CC3333]Hero raises to t50500</font>, CO calls t2500.

Turn: (t124200) 7 [color=#0000FF](2 players)</font>

River: (t124200) 5 [color=#0000FF](2 players)</font>

Final Pot: t124200

I flop top pair. I am not sure my M is high enough to last through the last 10 people. I decide I need to make a stand with this hand. I do not think the first player has a queen because he limped pre flop. I figure I need to make a stand here to be sure I make it to the top 50. What would you have done.

Push the flop. You do not have the chips for any other move on this board. If villian had a better hand, then you were busto no matter what.

Not sure why you think this. I don't like villain's limp at all, but assuming he's going to limp I don't see why he couldn't have QJs or KQ.

By the way after you get min-raised on the flop, you're beat approximately 100% of the time, so you may want to consider folding, despite the fact you're crippled. Not quite sure why you bet 24000. Nor do I see how the pot can be 23200 when 3 players saw it for 8000.

You know this is one of those time where I changed my mind mid stream. I thought I would bet 24,000 and if he came over the top I would fold. I think there was something about the size of his bet that made me think he did not have the Q so I called.

what is your position out of the 60 remaining players?

Also, 10K or shove are both much better bets than 24K.

I think my mistake was not pushing all in on the flop

I am not sure of my position I think that is one of the things I should have checked.

Let me ask this question. If you felt confident in your read that you pair of Q's were the best hand. Would you still have made the call I made?

yeah it's really really hard to make correct decisions in a satellite if you don't have any idea if you can fold into a seat, need to stay where you are, or need to improve.

I'm a bit suspicious of COs play here. Has he been limping a lot of hands here? I'd play something like AA, KK, and possibly QQ and AQ identically (though I'd typically raise AQ in this position since I'd rather take the blinds pre-flop with that at this stage).

At this stage I'd probably be folding my TPNK, but then I'm a weak-tight nit far too often, but it also depends on what you think of the CO. What was the average stack size, BTW? What tournament position were you at this point? What sort of table image did you think you had? Depending on these factors I might choose a different time to get all my chips in (especially if it will just steal me the blinds).
