Angry mob kills man in Texas

For some reason this really disturbs me...

The crowd managed to kill the passenger, not even the driver, and the kid who was hit didn't even sustain life threatening injuries (so its not like he was smeared on the street or something).

Obviously the details are vague in the article, but[censored] like this still happens in America? WTF?

Disturbing, but FAR more disturbing on Drudge Report is the link right above that one, in which Rosie O'Donnell is lobbying to backfill Bob Barker on The Price Is Right. That's somehow worse than Pete Myers replacing Michael Jordan on the Bulls after MJ retired.
